ADELAIDE FREIGHT AND WHEAT QUOTATIONS.
TO THB EDXTOE. Sib, —Your cables from Adelaide, dated Feb. 3, published this morning, quote—- “ Adelaide wheat, 4s 6d j freights to united Kingdom from Adelaide, 40s ; do, from out ports, 42s fid.” Being unable to reconcile these figures with facts known to me, I wired our correspondents in Adelaide, a very leading mercantile firm, for information, and have received their reply—" Last Adelaide charter, 47s fid j wheat, os Id, first cost, bags extra.” You will, lam sure, confer a benefit by giving publicity to this information, which, 1 venture to think, may be regarded as an important and reliable correction.—l am, Ac., - J.
