TER Company is projected with the object of providing the means of preparing and render, iag fit for export the Surplus Stock and Dairy Produce of this district by the Refrigerating or other process. The present intention of the Promoters is to restrict the Company's operations to the preparation of Meat snd Dairy Produce for shipment on OWNER’S ACCOUNT, and to arrange for the sale thereof in the London Market. It is im ended that the Company shall have power either to purchase or ship on Owner’s Account, as may he (onnd desirable; and also, that they shall eontrol the Sale as well as the Freezing and Ex. port ot the Produce, until the schema is fully in operation, it belt g evident that a concentration of interests is necessary in placing shipments on the Markets. The Preparation and Storage of Cheese and Batter for Export will become one of the most important operations of the Company, and aa the Market in England or those products is practically unlimited, at prices showing SO per cent advance ea Cheese and 100 per cent on Batter over those sanest in this Colony, an extensive Export may be confidently anticipated. The Promoters, recognising this all-important feature in the project, propose to provide Cool Stonge for Batter, Cheese, &c., where such may be collected from Formers, as produced and accumulated, until a vessel is ready to receive it. After ccrefnl enquiry, it is estimated that the amount of Capital to be called up (£10,000) will he sufficient to acquire suitable premises, erect the ssoessary buildings, provide all requisite mv ehicery, and meet the preliminary expenses. The English and Colonial Insurance Companies offer to cover shipments against all risks, including deterioration on board ship from any cause, for 5 per cent premium. The Promoters are assured that the London and St Katherine Docks Company have already imaged to fit up vaults with proper appliances for cool storage specially to meet the requirements ot the Frozen Meat and Provision Trade. The Promoters have enfSeient evidence before them to prove that the proposed business could be ouried on at once with a reasonable certainty ol substantial profits, on any purchases of Stock at current rates. They will, therefore, confidently rely on those who are directly or indirectly interested in developing the grazing industry of the eonntry, to assist them in carrying out that which, if properly managed, cannot fail to prove a very profitable undertaking.
