Cloudy weather at the Bealey, where there was still a light north-west wind. At Hokitika, north wind, light j blue sky, with clouds. Sea, smooth on the East Coast; moderate ou the West .Coast. Yesterdoy afternoon the barometer here commenced to rise again, and tho advance continued steadily throughout the evening. The following intor-colomal weather exchange has been received “Sydney, Thursday: Fine weather with a calm, or light south-west winds all over the south-east of Australia and Tasmania. Barometen—Portland, 308; Hobart, 30 0 j Sydney, 80-3.”
