[Reuter’s Telegrams.] FUNDS FOR THE PERSECUTED JEWS. ' LONDON, Feb. 1. A large and influential meeting was held to-day at the Mansion House, for the purpose of taking steps to raise funds to assist the Russian Jews. A powerful Committee was appointed to carry out the objects of the meeting, . and £15,000 were subscribed in the room. ARREST OP A BANK MANAGER. PARIS. Feb. J. M. SYMPATHY WITH PERSECUTED JEWS. NEW YORK, Feb. 1. A largely attended public meeting was held here to-day, at which resolutions of sympathy with the position of the Jews in Russia were passed.
