Fee for each course of Lectures of two hours a week. One Guinea for each term; for a course of one hour a week, Half a Guinea. Ladies are admitted as students to all the classes. Students are required to enter their names with the Registrar at the College, and pay their fees before commencing attendance at the Lectures. Horning Lectures will be substituted for those given in the evening, as soon as found practicable. Kaiapoi Island having failed to elect more than sir members of Committee at the annual meeting, held on Jan. 27, the Board hereby directs that a public, meeting of the honseholders of the said district be held on MONDAY, the 24th day of February, 1879, at eight o’clock in the evening, for the election of the remaining member to serve on the Committee for such district for the year ending with the fourth Monday in January next year. THE Householders of the undermentioned School Districts, that is to say the districts of— Alford Forest Ashley Bank Barry's Bay • Chertsey Halkett Kyle Lakeside Little Akaloa Monnt Somers Oxford East Paponui Eiocarton Saltwater Creek Selwyn Sprmgston Waiknkn Weeden Having failed to elect Committees at the annual meeting held on Jon, 27, the Board, in pursuance of the powers in that behalf conferred by the Education Act, 1876, section 66, hereby directs that a public meeting of the honseholders in every such district be held on Monday, the twenty .fourth day of February, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-nine, at 8 o’clock in the evening, for the election in .each district of seven householders (section 64) to form the Committee for such district for the year, ending with the fourth Monday in January next year. The place of meeting shall be the Schoolhonse in each district, and this is understood to mean the main Bchoomouse in any district which has more than one school. The Board further directs that the first meeting of each School Committee be held in the place appointed for the election, and immediately after the election npon the same evening. The Board requests the Chairman of each public meeting to make to the Board immediately after the election a return of the names of the seven honseholders elected to form the Committee, and recommends that each Chairman of Committee report bis own election as soon as possible.
