ANNUAL SCHOOL COMMITTEE ELECTIONS.
KIMBERLEY. The annual meeting of householders f or election of a Committee for the ensuing year was held in the schoolroom on Monday, Jan. 27 The meeting was but thinly attended. The report of the proceedings of the Committee for the past year was read, which stated that the school had considerably increased during the year, and was in a flourishing condition. The accounts, duly audited, were laid before the meeting, showing the receipts, including balance from last year of £6 7s 2d, to have been £256 3s 7d; expenditure, £247 lls 7d: leaving a credit balance of £8 12s. The meeting then elected the following householders as a Committee Messrs h! M'Clelland, T. Scott, 0. M'Caualand, W. Pitt, H. Roberts, H. Mars ton, and B. Bereley. ■ A meeting of the new Committee was then held, when Mr W. Pitt was re-elected Chairman. It was also decided to nominate Messrs Montgomery and Duncan as members of the Board of Education. The proceedings then terminated. BEOADFIELD. The annual meeting of householders for the election of a School Committee was held in the Schoolroom on Monday evening, Jan. 27. Mr H. Harrison was voted to the chair. Mr B. Aiken, who had acted as School Oommissisoner for the past year, read the annual report, statement of accounts, and balance sheet, which showed the school to he in a good financial position. The following gentlemen were elected to serve on the Committee for the ensuing year :—Messrs Harrison, Maginness, Benington, Robertson, Larcombe, Denison, and Clark.
A meeting of the new Committee was held immediately afterwards, when Mr H. Harrison was unanimously elected Chairman for the ensuing year.
