A telegram was read from the Minister for Public Works,' asking (in' reply to a letter from the Council) if the Council required another copy of Mr. Lowe’s report, which had been sent.to the Mayor in October last. FINANCE. He receipts for the past fortnight were :■— Rates, £32 11s: dog-tax, £l7; total, £49115. He overdraft at the Bank was £452 6s 3d. Resolved—“ That the Town Clerk be paid 10 per cent, of themoney paid for the registration of dogs as remuneration for the extra work.”
