The Dolly Varden was run into by a sailing boat almost immediately she started. After a fair race Torpedo won, VVanganui being second j time, 25min 30sec. Wanganui 45 seconds behind. Toy, with centre-boards down, 1 ; Otaki, 2. Junior Four-oared Outrigger Race ; Ist prize, £l2 ; 2nd, £5. Torpedo, 1; Rocket, 2. Whaleboat Race, three miles; Ist prize, Heslop’s cup and £2O ; 2nd, £7. The Echo broke her stroke oar at starting. The Arawata won easily ; Danger, the Wanganui boat, a bad second.
