THE CANTERBURY ELEVEN IN VICTORIA.

[By Cable.] THE BOHEMIAN MATCH. CANTERBURY DEFEATED BY EIGHT WICKETS, [PBOM OUB SPECIAL COBBHSPONDENT.] MELBOURNE, Jan. 16. Neilson and W. Frith batted extremely well, and took the score over the century before they were separated. With the exception of Lee and Fowler the rest of the batting was poor, which may in a measure be accounted for by the extreme heat. The Bohemian bowling was very weak, and the score ought to have been much larger. The first Bohemian batsmen were in grand form, especially Campbell, and as the bowling was by no means on the spot, the score mounted at a terrific pace. Robinson played well for 34, and at the call of time Campbell and Darke were still in, with the score at 142. To-day, however, C. Frith and Ashby bowled splendidly ; Darke was immediately caught, and Campbell had only time to increase his score to 92 when he was caught by Ollivier. The wickets then fell in quick succession, Ridderel alone doing anything, but the innings produced the large total of 236, The following is the score: — CANTERBURY. First Innings.
