L'jiUlim Times Office. Friday Evening. GRAIN AND PRODUCE. Grain is coming forward rapidly, and we regret to say that the old complaint has again cropped up, viz., the supply of railway waggons. We hope the Government will see their way to avoid a repetition of last year’s confusion. The wheat market is still firm —sound samples commanding -5s Gd to Gs at the bands of millers, who are keen purchasers. Exporters have withdrawn from purchasing this cereal, preferring to take their chance of executing orders after millers have laid in their stocks. Private Sydney telegrams indicate that a fall in value of hreadstuifs is looked lor. Oats and barley are in fair supply, at last •week's rates, and millers’ quotations for flour of guaranteed quality range from £ls, in sacks. Bran, i'3 Urn to £4. Sharps, £lloa to £5. Butter is held for Is 2d to Is 3d; and cheese is an good supply at s id to 5Jd. STOCK AND STATIONS, Since our last report we have no material alteration to note in this market, except that, os harvest approaches ft conclusion, greater activity is manifested. At the yards on Wednesday, 5251 sheep wore penned, and biddings were not so animated as they were last week. Best cross-bred fat sheep sold up to 10b 9d, and merino wethers to 7a Od each. A few lambs of prime quality reached 10s, whilst those of ordinary quality sold at from 5s Gd to Gs Gd. Crossfcred stores in good condition sold at 7s Gd, which may be taken os tho present value for this description of stock. Merino ewes, broken and failing mouths, went at 2s 3d and 2s 4d —a good pjricc, considering that sound-mouthed sheep of tho same class are only worth from 4s to 4s Gd. We quote mutton for tho week at l;d per lb. The number of cattle yarded was 175, comprising tho usual variety, and prices showed that a good demand for this class of stock still exists. Beef langed from 25s to 35a per 10'dbs, leaving our quotations of last week, viz., 27s Gd per lOGlbs, to stand as tho average. Of pigs, 354 were disposed of at prices ranging from 7s to It's, according to age. Tho Customs’ Revenue collected yesterday amounted to £ISG 8s id.
