A mooting of the Board of Education was hold yesterday afternoon in the Board room, Normal School ; present—Messrs John luglis (Chairman), Dunoan, Webb, T. W. Hall, Montgomery, and Rolleston.

The chimneys were quite safe, and no danger was to be apprehended from them. He recommended, however, that the roof and linings should be strengthened. It wae resolved to call for tenders for the work. A COMPLAXST. Mr Wolfe, who lives next to the Em; Christchurch School, complained that the lads bathing in the East Christchurch Sebooi could be seen from bis garden through the fence, which was in a very bad com it ion. It was resolved to write to the Committee, and request them to pat a proper fence at the place in question. After the transaction of some farther unimportant business, the Board adjourned.
