Thursday, Feb. 8. For Otago, per Taiaroa, at 11.25 a.m.; late letters, 11.45 a.m,; railway station, 12.25 pm. train. For Wellington and Nelson, per Arawata, at 1.50 p.m.; late letters, 2.10 p.m.; railway station, 2,30 p.m. train, Friday, Feh. 9. Mails per Rotorua will close as under:— For United Kingdom, vifi San Francisco, at 11.30 <§? America, Fiji, and Sandwich Islands, &c., &0., at 11 a.m.; late letters, 11.20 a.m. For Sydney, at 11.30 a.m.; late letters, 11.50 a.m. for Northern Provinces o£ New Zealand, at 11.30 a.m.; late letters, 11.50 a.m. For money orders and registered letters, 10 a.m. For posting book packets and newspapers, at 10.30 a.m. Late letters for the above mails can be posted in the guard’s van, Christchurch Railway Station, up to 12.25 p.m. train, provided such letters bear, in addition to the full rate of postage, a further single rate of postage as a late fee.
