PUPIL TEACHERS’ EXAMINATION.

The following is Mr Hammond’s report of the recent Pupil Teachers’ Examination “Sir, —I have the honour to submit the results of the supplementary examinations of pnpil teachers and candidates held in Timaru, June 23, and in Christchurch, June 27, 28, and 29. “In all,seventy five were examined; the numbers in the various years being:— “ Candidates 29 “ End of first year 19 “ End of second year ... 18 “ End of third year 9 “ The needlework at the Christchurch examination was taken by Miss Perry, The marks gained have been tabulated with tho rest, but have not been reckoned in the totals. Needlework was not taken at the Timaru examination. “ Tho whole of the results are summarised in the accompanying tables.” CANDIDATES COMMENCING FIRST TEAR. [All classed for tho first year except those marked* who passed, but are under age, and will be classed when of ago without re-examination; those markedf, who passed tho examination, hut under age; and those marked J, who wore not classed.
