MAIL NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post-office for the following places (subject to'necessary alterations) Thursday, May 20. For London, per Warwick, at 11,40 a.m. Letters most he addressed per Warwick. Friday, May 21. For Dunedin, per Bruce, at 2.30 p.m. late letters at 2.50 p.m. Bailway Station at 3.5 p.m.
Monday, the 24th inst., being the Queen’s Birthday, oil local moils for despatch on that day, will close at the Chief Post-office, Christchurch, on Saturday, the 22nd inst., at 9 p.m. The mails for Upper Biccarton, Frehhleton, Lincoln, Springston, irwell, Doyleston, Leeston, and Southhridge, will close at the Post-office, Christchurch daily; at 7.80 p.m, .
