WHEREAS the Members of the West Oxford District School Committee have resigned; Now, therefore, I, RICHARD JAMES STRAOHAN HARMAN, Deputy-Superinten-dent, in pursuance of the powers vested in mo under Section 33 of “The Education Ordinance, 1873,” by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, and on the recommendation of the Board of Education do hereby declare that no School Committee exists in the said district; and I hereby call a meeting of householders in the West Oxford Educational District, to be held at the School House, East Oxford, on Thursday, the 28th day of August, 1873, at the hour of 7 p.m., for the election of a Committee of the said district. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to Masters or other persons in charge of coasting vessels, steam lighters, cargo, and ballast boats, that they must anchor within the following limits, when unemployed, or awaiting a quay berth : To the southward of the end of the Breakwater, Officer’s Point, in one with Naval Point. Vessels anchored to the westward of what is commonly known as the Lighterage Jetty, only exempted from exhibiting a Light by night.
