The provincial government of CANTERBURY invite tenders for the ERECTION of a BRIDGE over the Rakaia River, in with plans and specification, to he seen in the office of the Provincial Engineer, on and after Tuesday next, the 27th inst. The Bridge to he built of 96 spans of 40 feet each, with approaches of about 779 feet in length. The Government Is prepared to receive and .consider plans differing from, or modifications of, those for the carrying out of which it calls for tenders. Plans and specifications to be forwarded with the tender. The Government engage to return _ unaccepted plans and specifications, if required to do so.
