MAGISTRATE'S COURT.
—♦ RANGIORA. Thursday, Sept. 17. (Before G. L. Mellish, Esq., R.M.) LuNAcr.—Tbos. Paul King, who was i arrested at Oxford on the Utn inat, by Sergt. Davies, was charged with lunacy. He was examined by Drs Tripe and Downes, who confirmed the charge. He was committed to .... the Lunatic Asylum, Christchurch. Drunkenness.—Stephen Mounsey was • charged by Sergt. O'Grady with being drunk and incapable on Sunday, the 13th inst,, in the Drain Road, Ranjiora. Kichard True>man confirmed the evidence. Accused was fined 10s, and 4s 6d costs. Supplying liquor.—T. C. Barnard, of Kangiora Hotel, was charged by the police, with supplying licmor to Stephen Mounsey on Sunday the 13th inst,, contrary to the Public House Ordinance. The case was adjourned •until next Court day for further evidence. Thos. Wild, Masonic Hotel, was charged with the same offence j the charge was admitted. The IUI, cautioned defendant, and fined hini .20s and costs. Judgment wsb given for plaintiffs in the following debt cases, with costs -.—Wm. Williams v. Arthur Sparrow, £ls 15s; S.
