MAIL NOTICES.

Jlai's for Lyttelton will close at 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. Mails for Cbristchurch will close at Lyt : telton at 9.10 a.m. and 3.10 p.m. Mails per Gothenburg for Wellington and Nelson, will close at Cliristclnireli at 3.45 p.m., and Lyttelton at 4.30 p.m. this day, Mails per Kangiioto for Otago will close at Christclmrch at 1.45 p.m., and Lyttelton at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, August sth. ENGLISH MAIL VIA PANAMA. Mails for the United Kingdom, United States, Canada, via Panama, and the Northern ports of New Zealand, will close at Christchurch at 2.30 p.m., and Lyttelton at 3.30 p.m., on Thursday, the Gth of August. Letters for Mexico, South America, the Continent of Europe, and other Foreign Countries, must be posted before 1 p.m. the same day. Late letters for all the above places can be posted until 4 p.m., by the attachment of an extra sixpenny stamp. Money orders must be procured before 5 p.m., on Wednesday, August 5, and letters registered before 11 a.m., on Thursday, the Gth of August, Money orders must be procured at Lyttelton before 5 p.m., on Wednesday, August 5, and letters registered before 3 p.m., on Thursday, the Ctli August. KNOLISII MAM, VIA BUM!. Mails for the United Kingdom, the Continent of Europe, the Mediterranean ports, via Suez, and the Australian Colonics, will close at Cbristchurch at 1 p.m., and Lyiielton at 2 p.m., oil Thursday, the Gtli August. Letters for this mail must be' specially addressed via Suez. The hours for closing these mails arc stated in accordance with the latest notice given by the agents of the sailing of the vessels. If any delay takes place, the hour of the closing of the mails will he deferred, or supplementary mails made up.
