Weigh* to be declared on Wednesday, July 22,15G8. Selling Steeplechase, of 40 sovs; entrance 3 guineas; 2 miles. Horses entered not to be sold, to carry welter-weight for age, If to be sold for £SO, allowed 7 lbs; for £40,10 lbs ; for £30,14 lbs; for £2O, 21 lbs. The winner to be sold by auction immediately after the race, and any surplus to go to the fund. Nominations for this race to be made to the Hon. A splendid line of fair hunting country has been carefully selected, about a mile from Christcliureli j and the use of the grounds has been liberally granted by F. H. Brittan and J. Stace, Esqrs. No horsemen, carriages, or dogs admitted on the grounds. Description and age of horses, and colours of the riders must be sent with the entry, Welter weights for age will be—6 yrs, and aged, 12 st 7 lbs; 5 yrs, 12 st; 4 yrs, 11 st 2 lbs; 3 yrs, 9st 10 lbs; with an allowance of 3 lbs for mares and geldings.
