MAIL NOTICES.
Mails for the Northern ports of New Zealand will close at Christchurch at 11 a,m., and Lyttelton at noon, on Tuesday, the 14th instant. Mails for Otago and Southland will close at Christchurch at 2,16 p.m., and Lyttelton at 3 p.m., on Thursday, the 16th instant. Mails for the United Kingdom, the continent of Europe, India, the Mediterranean porta, the Australian colonies, will close at Christchurch, at 1 p.m., and Lyttelton at 2.30 p.m., on Thursday, the 16th inst. "" Money orders must be procured at Christchurch and Lyttelton before i p.m., on Wednesday, the 15th mat., and registered letters posted before 11 am, on Thursday, the 16th instant. Late letters for all the above places can be posted until 2.30 p.m., by the attachment of an extra 6d stamp,
