ANNUAL EASTER PARISH MEETING, 1868. milE CONSIDERATION OP THE I PARISHIONERS is directed to the following Resolutions, which will be duly submitted ns above for general acceptance : rtesolved—Tliat, in the opinion of this meeting, no election of Church Officers can bo considered satisfactory, either to the true interests of the Church or the constitutional liberty of of the Parish, that returns the same men to office two y >nrs running, or yet more than one Member from the same family in any oue year. That, with a School-house available for the purpose, no Ves'.ry Meetings should be held at the Curate's, or any other private house, and also, that a', all such Meetings there should be a Secretary, duly elected for that purpose—and not the Chairman—to take the minutes of smii Meetings, and also that no business be transacted that does not appear in the minutes of said Committee Meeting in the regular journal kept for that purpose. Resolved—That, upon a proper and respectful application from any two or more Parishioners to allow them to look over the minutes of any Meeting, that such application be deemed in keeping with the wish of the Parish, and that leave be granted them accordingly by the Incumbent, or such other Church Officers as in whose custody they may be. That, as since the election of any Churchwarden, Vestryman, or School Com-mittee-man, can only be legally made through a Public Meeting of the Parishioners, that so this Meeting cannot entertain the appointment of any Church Officer otherwise made during the last year, and accordingly does not consider any action that may have been taken by them as binding on them.
