POST OFFICE SAVINGS BANKS.

The following aro tho regulations regarding the Post Oflloo Savings Banks, which have beon established at Ohristohurth, Lyttelton, Kalapol eimani, Akaroa, Waimate, Ilokitika, and Grey mouth t—--1, Interest at 6 per cent, por annum is given on sums less than £200; at 4 per cent, per annum on sums oror £2OO and not oxcocding £6OO j and in the sumo proportion for any shorlor time on every complete £1 doposited i no interest is allowed on moro than £6OO, 2, Depositors in Post Oflloo Sayings' Ba ks bare direct Government soourity for tho prompt repayment of their money. 3, A depositor in any Post Oflloo Bank pan continuo hi j'deposits at any other, and can withdraw his monoy at that most convoniont to him. 4 Tho striotoßt sooreoy is observed with respect to tho names of depositors, and amounts of their deposits. 6, Married women may deposit money in tho Post Office Savings' Bank, and monoy so boposited will be repaid to the dopositor, unless her husband gives notice, in writing, of marriage, and claims payment of deposits. 6, Money may be deposited by or on behalf or minors. Depositors oyer seven years or age' ore treated as persons of full age, but minors under seven years of ago cannot withdraw their deposits until they havo reached the age of seven. 7. Applications to the Chief Oflico in eaoh Prorinoe on the business of Post Office Savings' Banks, and the replies sent thereto, aro free from charge for postage,
