Lyttelton, now that the Railway is open, presents advantages for an educational establishment scarcely obtainable elsewhere in the province. The fine healthy position of Dalcroy House, commanding the sea breeze, and the opportunities afforded pupils for bathing, are inducements sufficient to commend the place to the attention of parents.and guardians. Not one boarder, during all the years the School has been established, has been absent for a day on account of illness. The Course of Study includes Classics, Mathematics, and a thoroughly sound English and Commercial Education, Gymnastics, and Military Drill. If it can be arranged, Mr Fergusson proposes to secure the services of a Visiting Master from Christchurch to instruct in the Modern Languages and in Drawing. The School will be RE-OPENED on the 28th JANUARY, at 9.30 a.m. Application for Boarders must be made at once, as the vacancies are nearly filled up.
