MAIL NOTICES.
On and after Wednesday, December the 11th, the mails between Lyttelton and Christcbuich will be earned by railway. The mails will be thrice daily between Port and City, which, until further notice, will close at the Chief Office at 8.30 a.m., 11.30 a.m. t and 4.30 p.m. The return mails will be sorted into the Christehurch private boxes at 10.15 a.m., 1.45 p.m., and 6.46 p.m. The daily deliveries by the letter carriers will commence at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. At Lyttclton tho mails for Christehurch will close at 9.30 a.m, 12.80 p.m., and 5.30 p.m. The return mails will be sorted into the private, botes at 0.30 a.m., 12.30 p.m., and 6.30 p.m. The Lyttelton Letter Carrier will commence bis delivery at 9,45 a.m. and 12.45 p.m. On the same date, the Post-office at the Heathcote Valley will be moved to the Railway Station, Heathcotw Valley. The mails for this office will close at Christehurch at 8,30 a.m., and at Lyttclton at 9.30 a.m. At the Station, the mails for Christchutch will close at 1 p.m., and for Lyttelton at noon. The Post-utßce at Ferrv Mead Stition will bo closed. -Mails for the Ferry road will doae at Christchurch at 8.30 a.m. every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday ; at the Ferry road, for Christehurch at 8 p.m. on the,same days. _ The following new mail services and alterations existing , services come into operation on the January, 1868 : eMails for Addington and Biecarton will close daily at 9.45 a.m. ■Mails for St Albans, daily, at noon. ; Mails for Weka Pass and Hurunui, three times weekly, at 8 a.m., Monday, Wednesday, and Pfiday. . i Mails for Governor's Bay, twice weekly, in placoof weekly, and will close at Christehurch at 8,80 a.m.| on Monday and Saturday, -Mails for Upper Ferry, Rnngitata, will close at Orari every Monday and Friday, at 0.30 a.m. A Post-office will be opened at Geraldine, and mails for this office will close at Orari on Monday and Friday, at 9.30 a.m. The Post-office at the Sclwyn will be removed from M'Donald's Hotel to the Hallway Station. Mails will close ac Christehurch at 8.30 a.m., duly. A PosUoffico has been opened at the Saw-milk little Hirer. Mails close at Cluifltohurch every Monday, at 8,80 a.mtj
