TO CONTRACTORS, THE Telegraph Commissioner is prepared to receive Tenders for the supply and delivcryof One Thousand (1000) Telegraph Arms, as follows : The arms to be cut from the heart of black birch or stringy bark. The arms to be delivered at the General Government Telegraph Office, Christchurch. The arms to be twenty-seven (27) inches in length, two and a half inches wide, and two and a quarter inches thick, that is 2J by 2£ inches. The arms to be bored for bolts and insulators, with a five-eighth auger as per pattern, being one hole in centre, through the greateit depth of wood, and two holes, one at each end of arm, through the least thiekuess of wood, j The arms to be rounded for carrying off water as per pattern, The whole of the arms to be delivered within thirty days of signing the contract; Each tender must be accompanied by a deposit of £5, as a guarantee of good faith, which sum will be forfeited should any tenderer refuse to sign the contract in the event of his tender toeing accepted.
