Wellington, July 26,6.48 p.m. Mr Travers moves on Tuesday the expediency of introducing a divorce bill, vesting jurisdiction in the Supreme Court. The Government is favourable.
On Mr Eeynolds' motion for refusing payment to the audit committee the numbers were epal. The Speaker decided against the motion. No evening sitting. The Wellington Town Board have decided not to levy more rates in consequence of the decision in the Picton case.
The report of a payable goldfield in Auckland has been revived.
