This Society is established for the purpose of purchasing blocks of good agricultural freehold land at the Government price, and to resell the same at the same rate to Shareholders, in allotments of Five Acres each, or thereabouts; the purchase money of such allotments to be paid by the Shareholders by small Weekly Instalments. The objects of the Society shall be carried out by means of Weekly Payments by the Shareholders of One Shilling per Share, and a further sum of One Penny per Share for current working expenses, with an Entrance Fee of Two Shillings and Sixpence per Share. It is believed that, through the medium of this Institution, working men can obtain Government land in small allotments, at almoßt the same price at which capitalists can purchase large blocks ; at the same time that the payment of the purchase money is received in such a manner as will best suit the circumstances of the working classes.
