—♦ — Everything promises well for the meeting which commences to-day. All the horses have arrived, and the majority are looking remarkably well. There are rumours of one or two not being fit, but we hear of only one (Zigzag) having positively broken down. The course will be cruelly hard, but that is all in favour of sound feet and legs. There has been very little general betting, but as the public usually reserve their little ventures until the day of the race, we append the following list of prices, which may be depended upon to be as correct as the circumstances will permit.
