A Meeting is to be held in Lytteiton 011 Saturday to * consider the question of nominting a candidate for the Superintendency at the next vacancy. The Lytteiton men have usually been almost unanimous supporters of Mr. Moorhouse, and probably will be found again stepping to the front on his behalf. No doubt occasion will be taken on Saturday to examine the stories about the thousands of. public money which some person is reported to have offered Mr. Moorhouse on some occasion to do something. The stories are absurd, but they may as well be shown to be so.
