Otago.—By the City of Dunedin we have our files to the 31st ultimo. The Daily Times of the 31st ulfc. reports

A little more activity has been manifested in the day's business. Limited purchases of miscellaneous goods are making both for town trade and for shipment, but no particular impulse has been given to the market in any one article. Flour remains without alteration, but no heavy transactions have been reported. Sales have been made to some extent in sugars and teas, but not with any efiect in altering quotations. The auction sales of general merchandise have been unimportant, but Messrs. M'Landresß, Hepburn and Co. succeeded in placing by the hammer sundry properties to the extent of about two thousand pounds.
