THE Government are prepared to receive Tenders for the construction of a SEA WALL, 700 feet in length, in front of the site of the Lyttelton Station. Plans and conditions of tender may be seen at the office of the Secretary for Public Works, Christchurch, on and after Friday, the 24th instant. Tenders must be sent in to the Secretary for Public Works on or before the 13th April, at noon. The Government will not be bound to accept the lowest or any tender. THE Tenders received not being satisfactory, further Tenders are invited to perform the undermentioned work:— To clear the Avon River, from the Hospital to the junction of Mr. Johnstone's property, on the Fendalltown Road.
