THE COMMITTEE beg to give notice that the ALL ENGLAND ELEVEN are expected to ARRIVE in LYTTELTON on SATURDAY, 6th FEB The arrangements for their arrival in Christchurch, are as follows :— The party will leave Lyttelton about two o clock, and will proceed over the hill to the Railway station, to arrive at the Christchurch Terminus about halfpast three o'clock by a special train, kindly placed at their disposal by Messrs. Holmes and Co., where they will be met by the committee and other gentlemen, accompanied by Kohler's band, and will be escorted to the Town Hall, and from thence they will ride through the city and return to their hotel in Cashel street. . Gentlemen desirous of taking part m the procession will be requested to conform to the orders of those persons who will be charged with authority for its formation. Signal flags will be hoisted at the Government Buildings, at the Flag-staff, in Cathedral Square, and at the Town Hall, on the receipt of the telegram notifying their arrival in Lyttelton. SHOULD this meet the eye of JAMES THOMSON, House Carpenter, formerly of Portsoy, Banffshire, Scotland, he is requested to communicate with JAMES SUTHERLAND, Shipwright, Head of Bay, Akaroa. 605 CAUTION. —Whereas on the twenty-first day of March, 1863, Mr. George Duncan Lockhart, of Christchurch, in the Province of Canterbury, contracted to sell and deliver to us the undersigned John Douglas, and Francis Alderson, trading as Douglas, Alderson and Co., all his interest in a certain tract of Crown Land, situate in the Province of Canterbury, and called or known as the Ilekateramea Station, and comprising the Runs numbered respectively as follows, namely:—334, 198, 158, 197, 197 No. 1 and 197 No. 2; together with certain Freehold Land, and also, certain Sheep, Cattle, and Horses then being depastured on the said Station for the price of Forty-four Thousand Pounds, part of which sunij that is to say the sum of Ten Thousand Pounds, was paid by us to the said George Duncan Lockhart, on the said day of sale, in pursuance of the said contract. And whereas in consequence of the refusal of the said George Duncan Lockhart to deliver to us the said Hekateramea Station and Stock, we have commenced and are now prosecuting a suit in the Supreme Court of New Zealand to compel the specific performance of his said contract, to wit, the delivery of the said station, freehold and stock, together with special damages for the said breach of contract. Now these presents are to give notice to and to caution the public not to treat with the said George Duncan Lockhart, or any other person whatever for the purchase or transfer of the said station, freehold, and stock, or any part thereof respectively; the said station, freehold, and stock belonging rightfully and equitably to us by virtue of the said contract. N.B. —There is no truth whatever in the report which we understand to be in Circulation in Canterbury, that Mr. Lockhart has refunded to us the £10,000 paid to him by us as above stated. 127 IN THE SUPREME COURT. In re LOCKHART ats. DOUGLAS ALDERSON and others. ALL gentlemen interested in the affairs either of Mr. George Duncan Lockhart, of Canterbury, Stockowner, or Messrs. Douglas Alderson and others, Traders, of Dunedin, Otago, are invited to a full inspection of all the correspondence which led to the above-named Action-at-law ; also of a copy of the report (Otago 'Daily Times,' 10th September, 1863) of Mr. James Smith's application to the Supreme Court to restrain Mr. George Duncan Lockhart from selling his own property, which application the Court refused.
