Messrs. j. ollivier & son have been favored with instructions to sell by public auction at their stores in Cashel and High Street on FRIDAY (TO-MORROW), FEBRUARY 5, At Noon, A remarkably fine collection of CHROMOLITHOGRAPH PICTURES. These pictures are all copies from some of the finest works of art of modern times. Amateurs and others desirous of obtaining a few of these beautiful specimens of the art are invited to inspect the above collection. They will be on view the day before the sale from 11 to 4 o'clock. Sale at Noon. 721 THE CHRISTCHURCH QUAY AND HEATHCOTE TOWNSHIP ESTATE TO BE SOLD BY AUCTION AT AN EARLY DAY, BY MESSRS. J. OLLIVIER & SON' in lots for the convenience of purchasers (unless an acceptable offer be previously made) and upon easy terms of payment. Lot 1 will comprise all that well known wharf and waterside premises called Christchurch Quay, together with the warehouses, dwelling-house, offices, store, cellars, outbuildings, crane wharf, yards, and premises of half an acre, where a very extensive coal and timber trade is now being carried on by Messrs. Montgomery, Todhunter & Co. as tenants from year to year at the very low annual rent of £200, on terms to give up possession at a month's notice if required. These premises are perhaps the most suitable and best adapted for a brewery of any in Canterbury. Lot 2 will comprise the new dwelling-house on the opposite side of the creek, replete with every convenience, stables, outbuildings, extensive garden well stocked with fruit trees, grass paddock containing about sa. lr., having large valuable frontage up the river. Immediate possession can be given. Lot 3 comprises that very desirable and valuable triangular plot of land between Mr. Aikman's late premises and the quay, having extensive frontage on the Ferry road. Navigation street, and on the river, containing 1 rood 30 perches, of which immediate possession may be had. This lot is admirably situated for an hotel, and has hitherto been reserved for that purpose. Lots 4, 5, 6, and 7 comprise the four plots between the Ferry road and the creek, or intended basin, next adjoining the quay, each having a frontage of 100 feet on the road, and a depth of 60 feet, all well adapted for business purposes. The above properties being situate at the head of the navigation with ample space for vessels, distant only two miles from the Ferry and two from Christchurch, in a rapidly increasing neighborhood, and one which offers a most desirable opportunity for profitable investment. After the above sale, the various Road and River side quarter-acre sections in the Heathcote Township which shall have been previously applied for will be submitted to competition, and sold without reserve, in their order and numbers stated on the plan ; particulars of which may be had by applying to the Auctioneers, MESSRS.
