JAMES LAWRANCE has received instructions to submit for Sale by Auction, at Lloyd's Rooms, Collins street west, Melbourne, on Tuesday, 16th Februarj', at twelve o'clock, the very handsome iron screw steamer CONGUNE, of the following dimensions, viz.:—Length, 90 feet; breadth, 18 feet; depth, 8 feet; 93 98 100 tons N. N. register, exclusive of engine space; 20-horse power nominal, and capable of working up to 50. This eligible vessel was built on the Clyde, of Lowmoor iron, by one of the best builders, in 1860, and classed Al nine years. Her last employment, on the Cape coast,*was in the j capacity of a sailing vessel, but her whole machinery, | including boiler gear, shafts, screws, &c., are all on board of the vessel, and can be set up at a very trifling expense. Her model is handsome, schooner rigged. Her cargo capacity is very large, and her extreme light draught of water (only drawing six feet, with a full cargo of dead-weight), renders her without exception a most valuable ship for the bar harbours and shallow rivers in New Zealand. Her cabins, first and second, are neat and commodious, and the deck, being flush, may be conveniently converted into extra cabin accommodation if required.
