POST OFFICE NOTICE.
ALTERATION OF MAILS TO TIM Alt U, FKOM TWICE TO THKEE TIMES A WEEK. On and after the Ist proximo, the South Road Mails will close at Christchurch every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, at 7 a.m. The mails for Christchurch and intermediate offices will close at Timaru on the same days and hours. A ship mail for London, per White Star, will close at Christchurch at noon, and at Lyttelton at 2 p.m., on the 3rd proximo. Letters to be forwarded by this opportunity must be specially addressed " per White Star." Mails for Dunedin and the Bluff, .per s.s. Phoebe, will close at Christchurch at 8.30 a.m., and at Lyttelton at 10.30 a.m., on the Ist proximo. Mails for Dunedin and Melbourne, per Gothenburg, will close at Christchurch at B'3o a.m, and at Lyttelton at 1(K30 a.m. on Monday, the Ist February 1864. F. E. Weight, Chief Postmaster.
