EXPORTS. In the Windhover, Peacock and Co., agents : 8 case muntz metal, 5 bags nails. A ship was signalled yesterday as being off the Heads It is supposed to be the Derwentwater, but up to the tim of our going to pres3 no reliable information had bee: received. The 1.C.8.M.5.5. Phoebe left the Bluff on the 6th a 5*15 p.m., arrived at Port Chalmers on the 7th at 6 - 30 a.m. left again at 7*40 p.m., on the same day, and arrived a Lyttelton at 2 p.m. on the Bth—passage occupying bu 18 hours and 20 minutes. The s.s. Storm Bird arrived yesterday morning about o'clock from Wellington, after the roughest passage eve experienced by Captain Reynolds, although of late heha had more than a share of storms. The steamer leftWel lington on Friday morning, and was within 30 miles c the heads on Sunday evening, but owing to the increase 1 force of the S.W. gale, had to put about ship and run fo shelter under the land off Motunau, till the wind mode rated. She has horses and cattle on board for the Otag market, but they will be landed here. One of the beast died, and another had its leg broken. The horses are 01 deck, and look little the worse for the voyage. Captai: Reynolds put back to Wellington three times, and we ar obliged to him for papers of the sth instant. The David G. Fleming.—The ship David G. Flemini arrived in harbor on Tuesday evening, after a passage c 100 days from London. She brings an addition to ou population of 12 passengers in the cabin and equal to 30 statute adults on account of the Provincial Government Every department on board appears m a very efhcien and cleanly state. A numerously signed address was pre sented to the captain by the passengers. Three births ani three deaths occurred on board, two underone year, and th other eight years old. A seaman, named James Duey, native of Stoke, lost his life by a fall from the topsail yari to the deck; he was all but dead when carried to th forecastle. Tho David G. Fleming brings a large cargo consigned to Mr. D. Davis, Norwich Quay. The Bahia sailed from the Downs on the 26th Julj having light winds down the channel and baffling ones t> the line, crossed on Sept. 19th; In working down th trade to the Cape, met with little better success. Aite reaching the longitude of Tan Dieman's Land, met wit] very heavy gales. The whole of her passengers are ii good health. Her freight list includes cargo of about 90 tons, and she is consigned to Messrs. J. T. Peacock & Cc In our brief notice of Tuesday we should have stated tha Captain Sproul boarded her and the Brothers Pride oi Sunday evening, the latter vessel about half-past 9 p.m. The Zealandia. —We gladly welcome back the Zealan dia and her captain; on the present occasion more par ticularly because the Zealandia has, up to date, made th quickest passage from London to Lyttelton this yeai She left on the 3rd September, and in consequence of : severe gale met with in the Channel was obliged to pu back-to the Downs. On the 10th made another attempt and the pilot parted with her on the 14th. During th passage to the Line spoke the Derwentwater; and agaii on or about October 13th. Met with fine weather th rest of the passage, which occupied 96 days from th Downs. The Snares were sighted on Sunday last, and th late S.W. gale assisted the vessel to her anchorage oi Monday atternoon about 4 o'clock. The Zealandia is con signed to Reece & Co. Amongst the articles enumerate! in the manifest will be found the frame and fittings fo the new steamer ordered out by Mr. Reece during hi stay in England; the remainder comes out by the Canter bury, which sailed from London on the 22nd Soptembei Captain Foster lands all his passengers in excellen health. The Ship Bbotheb's Phide.—On Tuesday last w briefly noticed the arrival of this vessel at the heads, an< although we possessed the information since proved to b too true respecting the amount of sickness on board, fo the sake of the friends on shore we refrained from publish ing the melancholy intelligence that 44 deaths had occurre 1 during the passage. In our columns will be found a lie 1 of the sufferers, as well as the number of births. W 1 hear that Captain Sproul, on boarding the vessel, wa 1 refused the charge of the ship, and the offer of the pilot t 1 place his boat and crew at the service of the ship to obtai: 1 fresh supplies for the sick children was also refused. 0 ! Tuesday evening the anchor was raised, and sail mad before half a gale of wind blowing from the S. W., and a daylight next morning the vessel was out of sight. Sh ■ returned yesterday morning when off Camp Bay, an ® was immediately ordered to hoist the Yellow Jack. Thi > peremptory order of the Health Commissioner not appeal > ing to suit this cavalier officer, in two or three hours th > anchor was again up, and with the assistance of the ligh ; breeze from N.E., the Brother's Pride was brought up jus ' astern of the Lancashire Witch.
