OPENING OF THE FERRYMEAD BRANCH OF THE LYTTELTON AND CHRISTCHURCH RAILWAY. HIS HONOR THE SUPERINTENDENT requests that TUESDAY, the Ist day of December next may be observed as a GENERAL HOLIDAY in honor of the opening of the Ferrymead branch of the Lyttelton and Christchurch Railway. The offices of the Provincial Government will be closed on that day. !
