NOTICE. —I hereby give notice that on .September 17th, 1863, I intend MUSTERING my CATTLE. All strangers that are not claimed on that date the undersigned will not be accountable for. THOS. C. In the matter of the Debtors' and Creditors' Act,. 1862, and in the matter of HENRY JAGGAR, of the School-house, Lincoln road, in the province of Canterbury, in the colony of New Zealand, cooper, now out of business; previously of Kaiapoi, in the said province of Canterbury, malster and brewer, before then in co-partnership with Francis Franks, trading under the name or style of Jaggar and Franks, at Kaiapoi, aforesaid, as malsters and brewers, i and formerly of Papanui road, Christchurch, aforesaid, malster and brewer, a debtor, not in custody. IN CHAMBERS, this twenty-eighth day of Ajigust, 1863, upon the application of Mr. Slater,of counsel for the said petitioner, Henry Jaggar, after reading the said petition purporting to be signed by the said petitioner such debtor as aforesaid, and to be concurred in by Peacock and Company and William Wilson, creditors to the extent of not less than fifty pounds in the whole, and also certain schedules, and also an affidavit to the said petition annexed, and therewith filed on the twenty-sixth day of August, pursuant to the said Act, this Court being satisfied of the truth of the matters contained in the said petition, doth hereby grant an ad interim order of sequestration of the estate and effects of the said, Henry Jaggar, and doth direct that the estate and effects of the said Henry Jaggar shall be taken and held by Alexander Back, of Christchurch, Esquire, as receiver under the said Act, hereby appointed by the Court, subject to such further order of the Court as may be made under or in pursuance of the provisions of this Act: And this Court doth hereby appoint Monday, the sixteenth day of November next, at eleven o'clock in the forenoon, for the hearing of such petition, and the proofs of debts and claims of creditors, at the Court-house, Christchurch aforesaid: And the Court doth also further order and grant an ad interim order of protection to protect the person and estate of the said Henry Jaggar, from arrest, execution, or legal pro- i cess until further orders of this Court.
