We extract the following items affecting this province:— Proclamation for the naturalization of Alplionso Eugene Ditely, of Akaroa. of the Governor's powers under the "Diseased Cattle Act, 1861," to the Superintendent Canterbury. The following gentlemen have been appointed by the Governor to be Mercantile Assessors for the

province of Canterbury, under the Debtors' and Creditors' Act, 1862: —George Buckley, J. Drummond Maepherson, Thomas Ritchie and Wiliiam Day, Esqrs. We also notice the publication of the New Zealand mail steam service time tables for July, August, and September.
