THE Building Committee of the Wesleyan Church invite Designs for a Church to be erected on Sections No. 311 and 313, Durham and Chester streets, Christchurch. The Building to provide accommodation for about eight hundred persons on the ground floor, and to be so arranged as to admit of galleries, or additions, if hereafter found necessary. The Drawings required will be at least two elevations, two sections, a ground plan, and a roof plan, to be drawn to the scale of £ inch to the foot, and tinted only with India ink or Sepia. The Drawings are to be accompanied by specifications of a general character, and an approximate estimate of the cost. The material to be used to be either Brick or Stone. The Committee desire to limit the expenditure upon the Church and Fittings within the sum of Four Thousand Five Hundred Pounds. The Committee offer a Premium of Fifty Pounds for the most eligible design, and Twenty-five Pounds for the second ; the accepted plans to become the property of the Committee.
