The same as the last lot, to be delivered at the Public Works Yard in Kaiapoi. The whole of the timber must be of hardwood, the description to be specified in the tenders. No white pine or rimu will be received. Payment will be made at the rate of 75 per cent on delivery, and the balance on completion of the contract. Tenders for one or more of the above lots must be sent to the Provincial Secretary on or before the Ist of September, 1862. Parties tendering will state at what time they; will be prepared to complete delivery. The Government do not bind themselves to ac-: cept the lowest or any tender, and any tender accepted will be subject to the approval of the Provincial Council. ; THOMAS WM. A specification may be seen on application to the Chief Surveyor, at the Land office, Christchurch. Sealed Tenders, endorsed " Tender for Survey," to be forwarded to the Provincial Secretary, by noon, on Saturday, the 30th August, 1862.
