ELECTION NOTICE. ELECTORAL DISTRICT OF RAKAIA. IN pursuance of the provisions of an Act. of the General Assembly of New Zealand, entituled " The Regulation of Elections Act .1858," and of another Act of tho General Assembly of New Zealand, entituled " The Provincial Elections Act 1858," I, Edward Chapman, Returning Officer for the Electoral District of Rakaia, do hereby give notice, that by virtue,of a writ bearing date the sixth day of March, 1862, issued under the hand of his Excellency the Governor of New Zealand, an election will be. held for the return of a qualified person to serve as a member of the Provincial Council, for the said Electoral District; and that the nomination of Candidates will take place at Mr. R. Westenra's Woolshed, on Monday, the twenty eighth day of April, 1862, at noon ; and that the Poll (if necessary) will be taken on Tuesday, the twenty ninth day of April, 1862, Dated this twelfth day of April, 1862.
