POST OFFICE NOTICE.
From and after the 26th instant, the Overland Mail for Timaru will close at Christchureh every Wednesday at 8-80p.ni. At the same time a Mail will bo despatched from Christehurch for the Mackenzie Plains; tins Mail will leave Timaru on Saturday, the Ist day of March next, and in future Mails for these plains will be made up at Timaru on every succeeding alternate Saturday. The mail contractor for the South road will, on and after the 27th inst., leave Christchurch. at 6 a.m. on every Thursday moraine, and will be only iwo days on the road to Timaru. F; E.
