ARRIVED. August 1, schooner Sea Bird, 18 tons, Ellis, from Akaroa, with 12,000 feet timber and 70 piles, Pavitt. August 3. schooner Emerald, 35 tons, Sedcole, from Wellington, with 18,000 feet timber, Buxton. Passengers—Mr. Evans, Jas. and Catherine Murphy. Same day, schooner Palinurus, 15 tons, Clarkson, from Le Bon bay, with 10.000 feet timber, Millton. SAILED. Jnly 31. ketch Cordelia, 15 tons, Hyman, for Decanter Bay, in ballast. August 2, schooner Emerald Isle, 40 tons, Oakes, for Otago, with 227 bushels wheat and 1,042 bushels oats, Oakes. Passengers: Messrs. Breeze, Miller, Treleaven, Ash worth. Snead. Spriggs, Bailey, Harper, Garlick, Irvine, Griffiths, Broome, Rowell, Sundry, Herbert, Hinds, and five in the steerage. August 3, ketch Emu, 27 tons, M'lver, for Otago, with 2 tons flour, 1 ton cheese, 1,000 bushels oats, and 4 drays, W. N. Millton. August 4, ketch Midlothian, 20 tons, Marshall, for Otago, with 396 bushels oats, Dalgety, Buckley, and Co.; 78 cheeses, 4 tons 16 cwt. flour, 17 dozen picks, 12 dozen shovels, R. Sutcliffe and Son; 2 tons flour, J. C. Aikman and Co.
Same day, schooner Sea Bird, 18 tons, Ellis, for Akaroa, with 1 ton potatoes, and 400 lbs. flour, Ellis; 1 box, Cunden.
