ARMS ACT, 1860. IVTOTICE is hereby given, that Licenses -Ll may be obtained by Settlers, for the Purchase of Ammunition for Spobtlstg Pubposes on the following conditions, viz : 1. Every proposed purchaser not on the Commission of the Peace, or personally known to the Licensing Officer, to be recommended by a Justice of the Peace. 2. No person to have a license for sporting purposes for more than—: 1 pound Powder ") 10 pounds Shot y per quarter. 500 Percussion Caps ) _ Runholders and managers of runs may obtain licenses for 10 lbs. powder, and a, proportionate quantity of shot, bullets, lead, and caps, per quarter, by application in writing, with proof to the satisfaction of the Licensing Officer, that the ammunition I : is required for consumption on the run of the appli- ; cant for-the purpose of destroying pigs or wild dogs, for rifle practise, or for some other legitimate purpose. ; H.
