The Provincial Secretary to move the Council into committee on the Cattle Trespass Cattle Bill.
The Provincial Secretary to move the Council into committee on the Municipal Council Bill.
Mr. Ollivier to move for a Committee of Enquiry into the Management of the Waste Lands Board, in order to ascertain if any alteration can be effected in the constitution or system of the board of the department, and that such committee be instructed to enquire into all the circumstances connected with the appropriation of moneys alleged to have been received by the late secretary of the board, and to report thereon ; such committee to consist of Messrs. Wilkin, Ward, Bishop, Latter, and the mover; to have power to call for persons, books, &c, and to report 15 days after appointment.
Mr. Harston to move that the Public House Licensing Bill be read a second time; that the Council resolve itself into committee on the Public House Licensing Bill; that the Gorse Bill be read a second time; that the house do go into committee upon the Gorse Bill; to ask the Government whether it is the intention of the Government to introduce any bill for the amendments the Diversion of Eoads Ordinance.
Mr Thomson to move that his Honor's message, No. 1 of this session, be taken into consideration by the Council. Mr. Higgins to move for copies of any correspondence between the Government and Mr. White of Kaiappi relative to the construction of a bridge across the Waimakariri. ,
