LYTTELTON & CHRISTCRURCH MAIL. 1 LENDERS will bo received nt this office - until noon oil Friday, the 20th day of January, 1860, for the .conveyance., of a mail between Lyttelton and Christchuroh.und the delivery of letters daily on the line of road between the two towns, and at the. residences, eithor in Lyttelton or Christchurcli, totho persons to whom they are addressed, for 12 months,1 from the Ist April, 1800. The mail to start from Lyttelton daily (except on Sundays) at 9 o'clock a.m., conveying letters and Post-office parcels, and newspapers tor delivery at the Post-office, Chiistehurch, and an open bag containing letters and newspapers lor delivery to persons living on. the road side, along the line of, route. CARRIAGE OF MAIL BETWEEN KAIAPOI & SALTWATER CREEK, ONCE A WEEK. Tenders will be received at this office until noon on Friday, the 20th January, 1860, for the conveyance of mails once a week between Kaiapoi and Saltwater Creek, for 12 months, from the Ist day of. April, 1860. Mails to start from Kaiapoi every Tuesday at 9 a.m., leaving Saltwater Creek on the return to Kaiapoi at 3 p.m. on the same day. 5. LYTTELTON & AKAROA MAIL. Tenders will be received at this office until noon on Friday, the 20th day of January, IB6o,'for the . conveyance of a mail weekly between Lyttelton ariel Akaroa, for 12 months, from the Ist day of April, 1860, by one of the following routes :— , Ist. By the route by boat to Pigeon Bay; thence 'by land to Duvauchelle Bay, thence by boat to , Akaroa, or varying this latter part of the route by jlandfrom Duvauchelle Bay to Akaroa. 2nd. From Lyttelton 'to;Purao (or Rhodes' Bay), from Purab bythe direct road to ? .Duvauchelle Bay, i thence to Akaroa by land or water. ; Tenders must provide for receipt and delivery of the Pigeon Bay mail on the journey either way between Akavoa and Lyttelton. An open bag to be taken up and delivered at Duvauchelle Bay if required. ; : No maili to exceed 40 pounds in weight. Three hours to be allowed at Akaroa after the de--livery of a mail to the Postmaster for the return . mail to be made up. .
