On Thursday evening last, M*. and Mrs. B. N. Jones gave their first dramatic entertainment to a very full audience, in the Town Hal], Christchurch. Mr. and Mrs. Jones sustained their parts in " A Morning Call," and " The Actress of all Work," almost entirely without assistance, and in a manner which elicited much applause; in the latter piece the lady appeared in seven widely different characters lapidly succeeding one another. The evening concluded with the roaring Irish farce of "Paddy Miles' Boy," which, called forth much laughter and noisy approbation; Mr. Jones performed the principal part in a manner which did infinite credit to his Hibernian education and his acquirement of the true brogue.
