Horses .and Stock.—Mr. Eawdington and Mr. Guinness report as follows :— During the past fortnight the horse market has > been very dull ; few sales have been made and mostly at reduced prices.' The horses which arrived hy the White Swan were sold on Saturday by Mr. Barnard, at prices' varying from £27 lOs. to "£57 10s., averaging about' £42 ; this lot were in line condition and sorno of them useful horses. The horses ex Koscoe were also, offered, but only ■ a few fonnd buyers,'at prices from £23 to'£so ; oik-1 only brought the higher price, agoodmare ; all the others were withdrawn. ■ , „ , We have to report the sale of the well- known' draught horse Farmer's Favorite, for £230. This horse's progeny is now in high repute all over Canterbury. We have seen some of his stock that we, consider unequalled for bone and substance, and all are remarkable for their excellent temper.
