ADDRESS TO THE PROVINCIAL COUNCIL OF
CANTERBURY

Move no:! Move not! Te reckless M.P.C.- ! Tour best framed bills have many a doubtful phrase; Clauses with which the public disagrees, 'Ere they're gazetted for a few short days. Move not! Move not !
Move not! Move not! The bill you move may drop, May be rejected though by you :iis passed; His Honors veto may it:- progress stop, Or Colonel Browne may disallow at last. Move not! Move not!
Move not! Move not! The clause you move may change, May be amended by a word or two ; Your mcaniug, worded carefully, crow strange ; The clause may still be passed, but not by you! Move not! Move not!
More not! Move not! Oh, warning vainly said, To new-fledged members, of their motions proud! Bill* of his moving tura the poor man's head ; Faultless and legal, till they're disallowed '. Move not! Move not.
